What’s happening in rugby league as the Ugandan national rugby league team prepares for the World Cup

Uganda Rugby League (Uruga RL) has confirmed that the World Rugby’s Rugby League South Africa World Cup team will arrive in Uganda on Thursday morning.

The announcement was made by Uruga Rugby League President Michael Bongino on Twitter, saying the team will be in the country on Wednesday.

The squad, comprised of the following players, will join the squad of 20 from the World Team.

Rugby league is one of the most popular international sports in Uganda.

The sport is supported by around 50,000 players in Uganda, and the Ugandan national team won the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations title.
